Figurative Sculpture
Achieving an HND in Figurative Sculpture at Stafford College under the tuition of Mike Talbot ARBS, Andrew has since worked professionally as a sculptor for 13 years.
He has worked on countless sculptures including a life size of the 1st Earl of Stafford, portrait sculpture commissions and sculptures for private galleries. His work in the ceramics industry built the foundation of his skills where he created many wildlife and bird studies.
From a young age, Andrew’s Italian mother encouraged his talent and was fortunate to spend many summer months with his parents and family in Rome where he was inspired by the captivating sculptures of Michelangelo and Gian Lorenzo Bernini
In December 2008 Andrew helped raise £700 for Sophie’s Appeal when he was commissioned by Mrs Chrystine Remnant to sculpt a portrait bust.
He has also gone on to develop the ‘brick sculpture’, a form of bas- relief carved directly into common house bricks. The first of which was displayed in Southampton Bargate.
