Alys Scott-Hawkins is a director of short animated films. She was born in the heat wave of 1976 and grew up in Southampton, U.K.
She studied film at Northumbria University in Newcastle upon Tyne and completed an MA in Animation at the Royal College of Art, London in 2002.
Her films have won awards and achieved success in film festivals worldwide, and commissions include a ‘3 Minute Wonder’ short for Channel 4, broadcast in 2005.
NB Alys was until recently known as Alys Hawkins. Since marrying Ben in June 2009 she is Alys Scott-Hawkins.
